always see at other agencies. Though we receive federal and state funding which supports many of our services, this funding does not cover all of the costs associated with our innovative and proven practices. For this, we rely on the generosity and financial support of individuals, corporations, foundations and the proceeds from special events. AV Home Care Services has been a leader in piloting new services which have been supported by grants and donations, and our capacity to reach and serve those most in need depends upon this critical financial support.

Why Give to "Dorothy's Gift" of AV Home Care Services?

All of Charitable Funds Go to Care.

Choosing a charitable organization to make donations to can be a difficult and sometimes overwhelming decision. You may often wonder where your money goes and how much is eaten up in administration costs.  AV Home Care Services commits all of our "Dorothy's Gift" donations to improving the Quality of Life for the elderly and infirmed in our community.

AV Home Care Services is unique in that we offer individualized services and supports that are designed to offer those we serve, choice and control that you won't

AV Home Care Services' development department is determined to continue raising the bar of our fundraising goals for "Dorothy's Gift." The people we serve NEED US and we NEED YOU!! Our goal is to:

  • Spread her story through social media
  • Increase recipients in need of care
  • Increase Donors, and pledges
  • Inspire hope

It is our mission to create much needed awareness and education while raising funds “to help us responsibly provide the best personal care, homemaking and respite possible according to each client’s needs.” It is imperative to us that while encouraging community involvement, everyone feels good about what they are doing and has a great time doing it!

Please join us in our quest to continuing making dreams come true for the clients we serve.

Things we do with your help:

  • Provide emergent care to a client in the first 24 hours after hospital discharge, often a frightening time of adjustment and confusion.
  • Send a nurse to evaluate client and family needs. (This is not reimbursed, nor do we charge the client for it.)
  • Respond to client requests for one time special help.
  • Pay for services or co-pays if client suffers financial setbacks.
